Aquamarine is a blue form of beryl, making it a sister stone to the purple amethyst and orange-yellow citrine.
Aquamarine is the birthstone for March, and the traditional gemstone gift for a 19th anniversary. Diamond is the birthstone for April, and is the traditional gemstone to give on a 10th and 60th anniversary.
