Amethyst

Amethyst gemstones are rich in lavender and violet purple colours and steeped in ancient mysticism. Originating from the Greek ‘Amethystos’ meaning without intoxication, amethyst was once thought to bring a clear mind. Also thought to be a stone of friendship and love, it has been said that St Valentine wore a gold amethyst ring.
